Lianne Cranfield has been singing her heart out since age 3. Even then, she could move an audience. She wrote her first song and began classical piano at age 7. She and her sister would share harmonies and make up songs, often using the fisher-price recorder from a very young age.
Highly influenced by her mother's musical abilities and granny's 30 year professional career as a choral director and organist at the Basilica in Hamilton, Lianne auditioned and landed the lead role in Annie at age 9, eventually performing at Hamilton Place, portrayed often in the media as a "natural" in both singing and acting.
At 25, while travelling to Australia and NZ with a guitar on her back, she spent her days and nights singing in cafes and on beaches, remembering why singing was needed in her life. When she returned from her travels, she focused on a Master's degree in Education, with a special interest in music's effects on human development.
Currently Lianne is grateful to be exploring her voice and writing with Ian Smith, a master of his craft, producer/singer/songwriter from Kitchener Ontario, to start this next journey. Lianne also currently offers Children's Music Workshops for Community Programs and Vocal Lessons for adults and children.
